Publication Ethics

Didanesia: Journal of Education is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and preventing publication malpractice. The journal follows the principles established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and expects all parties involved in the publication process—including authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—to uphold ethical conduct throughout the editorial process.

Responsibilities of Authors

  • Submit only original and unpublished manuscripts.
  • Ensure that the manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
  • Present research findings honestly without fabrication, falsification, or inappropriate data manipulation.
  • Properly acknowledge the work of others through accurate citation.
  • List as authors only those who have made significant contributions to the research.
  • Disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest.
  • Immediately notify the editor if a significant error is discovered after publication.

Responsibilities of Editors

  • Evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit.
  • Maintain confidentiality throughout the editorial process.
  • Ensure a fair, unbiased, and timely peer-review process.
  • Prevent conflicts of interest.
  • Take appropriate action when ethical concerns arise.
  • Make publication decisions based on reviewers' recommendations and scientific quality.

Responsibilities of Reviewers

  • Provide objective, constructive, and evidence-based reviews.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
  • Identify relevant published work that has not been cited.
  • Declare any conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation.
  • Complete reviews within the agreed timeframe.

Responsibilities of the Publisher

  • Support editorial independence.
  • Promote ethical publishing practices.
  • Provide adequate resources for editorial management.
  • Protect intellectual property and copyright.
  • Assist in resolving ethical issues when necessary.

Research Misconduct

The journal does not tolerate any form of publication misconduct, including but not limited to:

  • Plagiarism, Self-plagiarism, Data fabrication, and Data falsification.
  • Duplicate submission and Duplicate publication.
  • Citation manipulation and Improper authorship.
  • Undisclosed conflicts of interest.

Ethical Oversight

Research involving human participants, personal data, or sensitive information should comply with applicable ethical standards and, where appropriate, obtain approval from a recognized ethics committee. Authors may be requested to provide evidence of ethical approval during the editorial process.

Corrections and Retractions

When significant errors or ethical violations are identified after publication, the journal may publish corrections, expressions of concern, or retract articles in accordance with COPE guidelines and the journal's Retraction and Corrections Policy.

Publication Ethics Statement

By submitting a manuscript to Didanesia: Journal of Education, authors confirm that they understand and agree to comply with this Publication Ethics Statement. Failure to comply with these ethical standards may result in manuscript rejection, article retraction, or other appropriate editorial actions.
