Author Guidelines

1. General Information

Biocentra: Journal of Medical and Health Sciences welcomes Original Research Articles, Review Articles, Systematic Reviews, Meta-Analyses, Case Reports, Short Communications, and Research Letters covering all areas of medicine, nursing, pharmacy, public health, nutrition, biomedical sciences, environmental health, healthcare management, digital health, and other related medical disciplines.

Manuscripts submitted to Biocentra must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal. Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts comply with publication ethics and international standards of scientific integrity.

2. Manuscript Preparation

Authors should prepare manuscripts according to the following requirements:

  • Manuscripts must be written in clear academic English.
  • Use the official Biocentra manuscript template.
  • The title should be concise, informative, and reflect the research content.
  • Provide complete author affiliations and ORCID (if available).
  • The abstract should briefly present the background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.
  • Include 3–6 relevant keywords.

3. Manuscript Structure

Title
A concise and informative title reflecting the research topic.

Abstract
A structured summary including background, objectives, methods, results, and conclusions.

Introduction
Research background, problem statement, objectives, and significance.

Materials and Methods
Research design, participants or samples, instruments, procedures, and statistical analysis.

Results
Clear presentation of findings supported by tables and figures where appropriate.

Discussion
Interpretation of findings with comparison to previous studies and scientific implications.

Conclusion
Key findings, recommendations, and future research directions.

References
References should follow the journal citation style and preferably include recent international publications.

4. Tables and Figures

Tables and figures must be sequentially numbered, clearly titled, cited within the text, and submitted in high-resolution quality. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission for any copyrighted materials.

5. Ethical Requirements

  • Ethics committee approval is required for studies involving humans or animals.
  • Informed consent must be obtained where applicable.
  • Authors must disclose funding sources and conflicts of interest.
  • All contributors should be appropriately acknowledged.
  • Research misconduct, plagiarism, and data fabrication are strictly prohibited.

6. Submission Process

Manuscripts must be submitted through the Biocentra online journal system. Every submission undergoes an initial editorial assessment followed by a double-blind peer-review process conducted by qualified reviewers to evaluate originality, scientific quality, methodological rigor, and contribution to medical and health sciences.

7. Revision and Publication

Authors are expected to revise manuscripts based on reviewer and editor recommendations within the specified revision period. Accepted manuscripts will be published under an open-access policy to maximize accessibility and scientific dissemination worldwide.

Corresponding Author Responsibility

The corresponding author is responsible for all communication with the editorial office throughout the submission, peer-review, and publication processes. The corresponding author must ensure that all co-authors have approved the final manuscript and that the submission complies with the editorial policies and publication ethics of Biocentra: Journal of Medical and Health Sciences.
